Tel: 07821 227905Corona virus
I am offering face to face sessions currently but i am asking clients to agree to my risk assessment in order to keep us both safe. I can still offer online sessions on Zoom, Skype and Face Time if preferred. Please contact me to discuss further.
I am an experienced, empathetic counsellor with a passion for changing lives.
I aim to empower you to make sense of any emotional distress or conflict, enabling you to see an enhanced state of wellbeing and view the future with a renewed perspective.
I work from home with a room dedicated to my clients which I believe is welcoming, peaceful and located in the village of Newton Flotman. I have ample parking and am accessible for all.
I have 35 years’ experience of working with people across a broad range of services. I have worked in the voluntary sector, health profession, wellbeing and most recently education. My most recent employment as pastoral care manager was to support people from all walks of life to address issues that were impacting on their families and empower them to re-gain control of their lives.
I worked for Norwich MIND for two years with clients requiring mental health support and also NRP for a year working with clients addressing drug and alcohol issues.
I currently volunteer with Nelsons journey a bereavement charity who support children, young people and their families.
I am also a trained domestic abuse champion, as I have a particular interest in working with clients who have been unfortunate enough to have experienced this.
I am fully qualified to offer 1:1 parenting advice and guidance as well as evidence based parenting programmes. Please make contact to request further information about this.
Within my psychotherapeutic counselling practice I use a range of therapeutic models according to the needs of my clients. These can include:-
Clear diamond in name and in quality will unpick multi-faceted issues, giving you the strength and clarity needed to resolve everyday challenges.
A diamond is priceless as is counselling when it enables you to ‘move on’ and have an improved quality of life. Clients often tell me it feels like ‘a weight has been lifted.’
Clients are unique, just like every diamond, and I will work with you to give you back the sparkle you deserve…
Counselling will offer you a safe professional environment where you can begin to express yourself and your experiences both past and present that may be impacting on your everyday life.
You will feel supported and understood knowing that everything we share is confidential and you will not be judged on anything you bring to therapy.
Counselling can address immediate needs but also equip you with the tools and mind set to make sustainable changes giving you a more fulfilling future.
Together we will build a warm and respectful relationship, empowering you to change. We will set goals for change and sessions will be led by you, bringing whatever you feel appropriate to each session. I will create a treatment plan to ensure we meet your needs but this will be addressed with flexibility in mind.
Reasons you may be seeking counselling:-
